Crescent Beach Motel

Was really close to the beach

It’s an older motel rooms in are close

No breakfast. Beach was gorgeous. We were on the 'garden' side (Highway 101). Some cute touches in the beachy room, but bathroom needed more work. Mirror for example

The room just look like reno was finished. Bathroom, strange old mirror, vanity older. Front door to outside had large gap at the bottom. More noise. Must be cold in winter months!

Clean. Pleasant staff. On the beach.

Seemed a little run down. Area between the deck and the beach was overgrown with weeds.

It was in a really nice location and the room was clean. We also received an upgrade on arrival for an ocean view room. The bed was comfortable.

I do appreciate the fact that we were upgraded to an ocean front room but it wasn’t explained that we were being upgraded from a twin room to a room with one bed which was booked intentionally, which did effect our stay. I think it is also important to mention that the door that opened up on to the ocean was secured by a wooden stick as the door lock was broken, it was also quite difficult to slide open and closed. There was also no lock on the window for the bathroom which was also a bit questionable as the glass didn’t quite fit the frame and it was a big window. Which just made us feel unsafe and also let in additional road noise.

I had a great stay at the Crescent Beach Motel. It sits right on the ocean and the view from my room and the deck outside it was fantastic to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The staff was very helpful to find restaurants, I could park in the front outside my room, it has a 1960s classic motel feel and I slept great which was needed after a long days hiking in the Netherlands

A few of the deck chairs on the veranda need to be replaced as they have seen better days but that was the only thing I noticed

Honestly Crescent Beach Motel was the nicest most enjoyable 1 night I've had at a motel or hotel. Not only did the room open straight onto the amazing crescent beach, with that cool breezy beach air if you like that kind of thing like breathing clean air. The staff at reception was awesome, I can't thank them enough for offering me a late checkout as I had checked in late at like 10pm after backpacking through Crescent City from the airport all afternoon. That extra hour and a half made all the difference to my stay, even though really it would have been sensational even without it. They also had a whole bunch of snacks in the reception free for the taking. They don't mind if you raid it like an animal or I don't know more like a polite and grateful person. The room was clean and the bed was comfy and everything was perfect. 10/10 I will definitely be back!
