La Container

Staying in La Container is a great way to unwind after a day on the Transfagarasan Highway and highly recommended. The cabin is cute and cosy with a comfy bed and stove to cook up what you like. It also has a view which is just lovely. There is a hay barn with plenty of wood so you can sit by the camp fire watching the stars and sipping homemade palinca. Oh, and friendly dogs to adopt for the night. Facilities are basic but you have everything you would ever need and you get a whole meadow to yourself! An amazing experience so thank you Vlad and family for opening your meadow and creating such a lovely place to stay. If you are thinking about it, just book it, you won't regret it.

If you go there do not expect to see what you imagine. I am sure it will surprise you in a good way. You will see a big lawn with one container in the middle of it. To get there you will need to travel on an off-road path. It is really unexpected. Emotions and experiences during your stay are really good. Alone in nature near to the city but far enough. An interesting experience and definitely not something that happens every day

This is not just a place to sleep. This is a once in a lifetime experience in Romania. You will be picked up at a parking lot by the owners and they will bring you by 4x4 car to a secret place in the mountains. The container has everything you need for luxury camping. You can cook your own meal. In the evening you can make your own bonfire. If I would live nearby, I would come more often. Keep it like this. Just two persons all alone.

Getting to the container was more challenging than I would have imagined.

Very beautiful surroundings and it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Two stray dogs guarded us during our stay and were nice company. Moreover, the hosts were super friendly and willing to help. We would for sure recommend it.

Based on the description (located in a large garden), we did not expect it to be that far from the town. We had to do some last minute groceries to be able to cook at the container. And if you are in the shop, buy some dog food ;)
