a few major advertised facilities weren’t available such as restaurant and swimming pool.

The hotel is in a very nice location, the room has a great view. Nice host and good breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the pool.

There was no glass for water in the room.

Extensive and tasty breakfast, pleasant small pool for a morning swim, located in a large green area overlooking the town and main church. Place looks old fashioned. Good beds and bathroom.

The bed was not comfortable. There was no fridge and kettle in the rooms.

It was lovely to be able to see the basilica from our room. There was a pleasant park right on the doorstep, and also a lovely waymarked walk through the woods next door. The breakfast had lots of choice and was good value. It was lovely to talk to one of the owners and play the piano. The pool was very good too. The decor was most appealing.

As we had been self-catering in the accommodation we had just come from, and had got simple things ready to eat if there had been a kettle, we were a bit disappointed to see that there wasn't one. (We realised later that this has been mentioned before.) Perhaps it is something the hotel could consider providing, as it is most unusual for a hotel of this quality not to provide basic tea and coffee-making facilities?
