Mi Cabaña El Maderal

Lovely breakfast in the mornings. Staff are very helpful. Great location. Bed was very large and the room is spacious.

The power went off at night and in the mornings but I believe this happens everywhere and one night they put the generator on. The shower water pressure wasn’t great

The breakfast is very rich and good! Favorite one in a hostel in South America! The two people working are super nice and the room had all we needed.

It was quite far out and not a lot going on here. There were two kitchens but we weren’t allowed to use either. It was quite hot

You were with family. Willie and his family were great to stay with! He had great insight on the area and things to do. Places to see. Breakfast was great in the mornings as we hung out on the balcony. Loved the hammock!! Wifi was great as long as the power was on. It’s in a rural quieter part of capurgana. You definitely get the authentic Colombian experience. We enjoyed are week stay:) I’m gonna miss it and look forward to a return visit:)

It gets warm in capurgana. We had fans which helped a lot. A few mesquite’s (not bad they just like me) Power is an issue in the whole town but Willie has a generator that can power the property and was greatly appreciated.

The family that run the Cabana are the best. Very helpful and relaxed and they do washing too! They also generously let us pay via PayPal because there is no cash machine in the village and we were low on cash. ( We are stupid British tourists). They have the most adorable dog and cats! The breakfast pizza we had was the best breakfast we've had from any hostel we have stayed in this trip! I don't usually write reviews regularly but because the family went above and beyond for us. :) Thank you! Bryn and Emma x

It's not their fault at all, but there are power cuts on the regular in the town. Just to manage other people's expectations, there's nothing they can do about it.

The host is wonderful. She helped us arrange a taxi from the dock to the hotel and prepared an excellent breakfast from us. Nice terrace outside to sit and relax. Comfortable beds.
