Location to Old Town

Really bad check in experience, host not contactable on phone, text or what’s app so I ended up sitting on the pavement in blazing heat for 40 mins - he’d left keys under mat but didn’t actually message to tell me that so could easily have been avoided. No WiFi password provided until I called him to ask and the WiFi is appalling. Apartment looked clean but when I got home later that night I saw a few small cockroaches running across the fridge and beds in 2nd room. There wasn’t any water in the taps after midnight so couldn’t wash my hands after going to the toilet - this should be highlighted in the listing. There’s also a big issue with water spluttering out taps any time you turn them on and shower doesn’t drain while in use. No tea towels in kitchen or any little conveniences like washing powder despite there being a washing machine. An almost empty hand wash in bathroom but none in kitchen. No coffee or a small water for arrival - for the price you pay you’d expect a 50 cent water in the fridge isn’t unreasonable. Extremely disappointed overall.

Very happy with the accommodation in terms of location (close to airport, port and town centre), and flexibility/communication before and during the stay. Everything needed for a family with 2 teenage children. The balcony and washing machine/drying line help after beach days. Notes: If renting a car can be tricky to park on street directly below apartment, so recommend using the car park down the steps at end of street: there is a decent supermarket for water/essentials and pastry shops etc. close to the entrance of the car park. Easy walk to outdoor fruit/fish market (and characterful coffee shops within the market for morning coffee), and Cava Diapon liquor cash and carry (for the few Corfu Beers to cool down on the balcony). Would happily stay again.

WiFi not very strong but maybe beyond control of hosts. One bedroom does not have air conditioning, and could do with a fan: air conditioning in other rooms can make up for it though if keep door open.
