"Jugendhotel_Markushof-Wagrain Austrian Alps April 2023"

6.0

Hi we stayed there for a week during a school ski trip, the food was average with the breakfast being good with a large buffet selection, the dinner was very limited with one main option as well as a salad buffet area. With regard to the facilities (we stayed in the older block) there was a lack of soap, there was no rubbish bin, no towels, no bath mat, the sink was slow to drain indicating a blockage, the shower leaked, the mattresses and the bedding was worn. The activity room was excellent and there was access to drinks, hot and cold all day everyday. The location was close to the town, shops and the ski lifts. The bus came to the hostel each day a transport to the ski lifts and there seemed to be a large amount of parking spaces. The WIFI worked in some areas and there was a large area for children to play outside with a climbing frame included.

"Best school group accommodation ever!"

10.0

Stayed here for 3 nights with a school group of 52 teenage boys. Amazing hospitality. Great food. Clean, spacious rooms. Teachers/chaperones stay right next to the students, but it is still private. All rooms have en suite bathrooms. The room doors have an innovative locking mechanism which gives teachers complete control. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Walking distance from the ski lift. All-day buffet with fresh fruit and sodas free of charge. Large sports hall with basketball court. Recreation room with table tennis tables. Hours of fun. Very easy to keep the students happy and out of trouble. Fantastic staff who go out of their way to please. It will be HIGHLY beneficial if someone in your touring party speaks German. Definitely returning to this place. Highly recommended for any school or church youth groups. Even university students will find this place appealing.

"School Ski Trip with 31 students"

10.0

Excellent location by the nursery slope for beginners. Fantastic facilities for groups, a wide variety of activities on offer. Bum boards and toboggans available which were great fun. Food: fantastic, best food we've been given on a ski trip in Austria in years! Well catered and wide variety of soups, salads and mains. Desserts were great as well. Packed lunches were provided in s buffet style, so you could create your own, juice cartons and knobbers/milky ways also on offer. Alternatively you could stay at the hotel for hot lunch. The more advanced skiers, would be better having money for mountain lunch or a packed lunch. Rooms: exceptionally clean! Towels provided for the staff, bathrooms very clean and cleaned daily. Lovely bright decor! Sstudents rooms: well thought out, bunks provided and lots of storage. Only one shower per room though, which could be time consuming in a dorm of 7-9! Our rep Simon was fantastic! Friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful. Evening entertainment: organised by our rep, not the hotel: fantastic, all had a great time, activities included quizzes, pizza and disco night, swimming, tobogganing and bum boarding! Wi-if was available in reception!! Hotel staff were very committed and hard working. Meal times were exceptionally well organised! Boot room had heated boot storage and ski racks. Down side: other schools were quite noisy including the staff, however the hotel were very good at eliminating noise or poor behaviour! All students had a fantastic week and I would definitely recommend this hotel for group visits!

Free Wi-Fi. and a self service bar (pay at the end of your stay) limited parking. buffet style breakfast but limited choice - bread/cereal and cold meats. average set menu for dinner. with a BBQ one night. hotel is good for children with lots of facility's too keep them occupied. hotel is in a good quiet location with nice surroundings.
