Beautiful gardens, lovely communal areas

Bedroom walls extremely thin, could hear occupants in surrounding rooms especially when they used the bathroom at night

Beautifully furnished, very clean All staff were very attentive- very impressed with dining room. Food was also good

Location on a steep hill will not suit anyone with mobility issues. Perhaps look at providing desk top fridges in the single rooms- would be ideal in time of heat waves (rooms were stifling making sleep difficult

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful garden. The staff were exceptional, every person was helpful, and efficient. We had a room on the second floor, it had a massive window that opened so we could get in a breeze. Really comfortable large bed, lots of plug and usb sockets in the room so we could charge up. Very clean room and was kept clean for our 4 day stay. The hotel is full of original features and also modernised decor. The hotel is away from the main town noise and traffic, it was so quiet at night so we got a good rest. The hotel has a large bar/ reception area with loads of seats and tables to relax in. The restaurant is massive and made to feel really cozy as it's split into rooms. The garden is beautiful, split over a few terraces. The top section has some more formal seating for breakfast/lunch/dinner and drinks. Further down there are terraces to enjoy with a selection of seating and sunbeds. Just a word to anyone who hasn't been before, you need to be good with steps. The hotel is a beautiful old building so be aware there are many steps and no lift. There are steps to reception, steps to breakfast, steps to the garden and down the garden terraces.
