Deluxe Kipling Villa with Sea Views

Property was well equipped and looked very clean

Property had a weird unpleasant smell particularly in the two bedrooms. Was a little off putting

This was our fourth stay on this site with definite plans to return again. We love it here, so quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly and the view is amazing. Wish we didn't have to go home.

Very clean and tidy and a nice size

Nothing it was great

We had a really comfortable stay, very close to everything around and loved that we are a short walk from Westward Ho! and good base to explore North Devon. The host was great at communicating right from the booking stage and providing all information necessary. Loved that we have view of beautiful sunset from our window.

Just small items that could have helped a lot. Hair dryer would have been a plus because I always forget to pack the little things on short breaks specially when you travel with small children, way too many little items to remember. Sponge and dishwashing soap as well wasnt there so just the small touch, I suppose that's missing. I guess, they aren't that big of a deal and overall it was a good place with a beautiful view of the ocean.

The location was good.

Wi-Fi never worked. The neighbours were too loud in the night.

Great location and lovely staff at reception, who were helpful both before and during the stay.

The smell of wet carpets / damp upon opening the door. Particularly bad in the two bedrooms. We raised this with staff during the stay and were told this was because of the storm during the night and the property backing out on to woodlands. However, the second night was a clear try night and yet the property still smelled. Although the location is great and the views from villa 27 are amazing, the villa itself is very basic - the mattresses were old and springy, no floor mats provided (I guess this maybe what was causing the odour in the property, as although you’d bring your own towels, a bath mat isn’t something you’d think of). Overall, it lacks the finer details that make a stay that extra bit special.
