Ohmmstay - Rumah Pendopo

1. as a homestay, the property is good: clean, modern, nice view: Sari temple, garden 2. we took 1 BR apartment, space is enough, utensils, xtra king bed

1. they did not accept any CC payment 2. AC in bedroom was not working. Maintenance staff could not do anything, even did not try to clean the filters. They could not contact technician also. No compensation for this. They only sent fan 3. amenities is only shampoo & shower gel in very little bottle each, enough only for 1 person, not couple 4. dining room does not have any lamp on the ceiling. They only gave 1 desk lamp on the refrigerator, 2 standing lamps on the corner, so not enough light 5. they give barcode to scan & said: everything you need you could get through. There is WA number for you to reach the receptionist, it is quite ok. But slow response, even we called nobody picked up. When we ordered room service for our dinner, the service was not available at the moment 6. they do not have any preference for breakfast. They sent chicken porridge 7. Two sides of the bedroom are big glass windows which is very nice to enjoy the view, but it causes the room is hot. You could imagine how it was without AC. Even the bathroom also has 1 side with glass window, it is nice. But we do not know whether all the glasses are 1 side seeing or 2 sides. If 2 sides, so anybody outside ould see you in the room, because they have 4 floors, it is not high enough to avoid anybody to see you in the bed & bathroom

Nous avons vécu un très mauvais séjour à Ohmmstay Pendopo. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons dû payer l’intégralité du séjour (4 nuits) immédiatement. Une fois dans la chambre, de nombreux problèmes sont apparus : Aucune eau chaude (il nous a ensuite été confirmé que tout le bâtiment n’en avait pas) Pas de télévision Personnel quasiment inexistant, hôtel vide Lors de la deuxième nuit, en prenant ma douche, des résidus verts et de la moisissure sont sortis du tuyau de la douche, directement sur mon corps. Situation choquante et totalement inacceptable en termes d’hygiène. La nuit, personne à la réception, l’hôtel était sombre et vide. Après de longues recherches, un employé est finalement intervenu et a confirmé que le problème concerne le bâtiment entier et qu’aucun changement de chambre n’était possible. Face à ces conditions, nous avons quitté l’établissement avant la fin du séjour et demandé un remboursement pour les nuits non utilisées. À ce jour, nous sommes toujours en attente d’un remboursement, malgré l’engagement de l’hôtel et après le délai annoncé de 14 jours. Le montant proposé est dérisoire et inacceptable. Très mauvaise expérience, manque d’hygiène, absence de personnel et aucun sérieux dans la gestion des remboursements. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement.

What I appreciated most about Ohmstay was its calm and intimate atmosphere. The property is thoughtfully designed, clean, and quietly welcoming, making it a lovely place to slow down and rest. The staff were warm and attentive, and the overall feel was peaceful and understated, ideal for travellers who value simplicity and tranquillity.

While the overall stay was pleasant, a few details could be improved. The water flow in the bathroom was somewhat weak, the toiletries were placed in breakable containers which felt less practical. The AC in the master bedroom could have been colder. There was also no AC in the living room if I recall correctly. Offering a greater variety of local dishes would add warmth and a stronger sense of place to the morning experience.

I really appreciated the antique furniture throughout the property as it adds so much charm and character. The traditional pieces help create a warm, old-world ambience that feels unique and authentic. That atmosphere would have been even cosier with a bit more lighting, especially in some of the corners where it felt a little dim in the evenings and more decorative plants to liven up the rooms. It's a lovely place with great potential and a lot of personality. I enjoyed my stay and hope to see it evolve even further.

The noise from nearby sources, such as the mosque and an outdoor sports event The air conditioning in the bedroom felt like running low and the lounge area in the 2-bedroom unit could use an air conditioning. Jogja was at its hottest during our stay there. I also noticed there were no coffee or tea amenities provided in the unit. And the use of glass bottles for shampoo and body wash looks nice, but I was honestly a bit nervous about using them in the shower, where they could easily slip and break.

Beautiful stay, amazing room, so close to the temple, an art piece of refined interest and comfortable connection

The room was clean and spacious, which was nice! The staff was kind and helpful, but the breakfast was disappointing. When we asked for another breakfast, they gave us a better breakfast. The location was far from the city center, but had a nice view of the temple and the sunset. The mosque is nearby the homestay, so you get to wake up early, but the voice of the iman was better than the others we heard :).
