Apartment am Schloßplatz Erlangen

Die Informationen des Host zum Zugang der Unterkunft wurde zeitnah, unaufgefordert und präzise mitgeteilt. Die Unterkunft entsprach der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Die Unterkunft war in einem exzellenten Zustand! Die zentrale Lage mitten in der Innenstadt ist herausragend!

Es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Die Unterkunft wurde wie in der Beschreibung vorgefunden. Die Kommunikation mit dem Host war problemlos und einfach. Ebenso unproblematisch war der Zugang bzw. Check-In und der Check-Out.

The location is fantastic. It is very close to the station and all the main shops. The street is also quiet.

On arrival, the room key was bent, which caused the door to not open reliably. The owner fixed this in a couple of hours, which was good, but the delay meant that I could not freshen up before an important meeting. The room has no desk, which is a major inconvience, and also no microwave oven. The coffee table is also tiny, so the only working space is a small kitchen table. I suspected this might be the case when booking the room, but the photos were a little unclear on this point. On entry to the apartment, the first thing you see is an exposed cupboard with a vacuum cleaner at the bottom. There are two narrow beds, across for a wall with a TV (I'm not sure if it has any normal TV channels). But, the TV cables hang down across the wall and go off to the room corner where the router is. So, you see cables, and the exposed router wherever you sit. There is also a big piece of wood by the cupboard, that looks like it is part of some unfinished furniture. None of the furniture is matching, either. It makes for a very untidy room appearance. I feel that the apartment could be made so much better. It's large, it had a nice bathroom, and the location is perfect. The owner needs to spend a little money tidying things up and putting in a desk and a better coffee table, and also adding a few pictures and ornaments to give the place a nice feel.

It is an interesting venue to experience. Perfectly located (only 2 mins to the Old Market in the historical city of Erlangen, and only 10 seconds to the trash bins in the backyard of the building), it offers a spacious interior shaped as a tram with all the furniture lined up. The kitchen is well-equipped (although I would suggest to provide more than one fork for the two-bed apartment). Showering time was strictly limited to the moment when the drain in the shower stopped draining the water (after ca. 1 min.). Therefore, our showers needed to be quick to avoid flooding, yet it certainly prevented us from wasting water. It was alright for a short stay.

The only chair at the only table in the apartment was not that comfy. Fortunately, as there was only one chair, we took turns sitting on it, so we did not have experience its inconvinient design.

Location is good and apartment is clean.

WIFI is impossible to use, host informed me password but it was not working. So asked again but host couldn't understand that because of very poor English. Also, I asked invoice several times but couldn't get that yet. If who can not speak German, it's better not to stay here, communication is so difficult.
