FRANGKY HOMESTAY

Really good located with a very comfortable common area for resting and spending time. The food was delicious with nice options for vegetarian and in good quantity for the price! The hosts are super friendly and giving their best for making our stay as comfortable as possible. With a lot of facilities for discover the little island. Thank you very much!

Everything was very good: the price, the food, the organization... Franky told me, very sad, that the couple who spent only one night had given him a bad comment and that it was a misunderstanding and certain tour arrangements due to bad weather. I honestly think that Franky organizes everything very well.

Good location, delicious food.

I rarely write negative reviews but I’d like to tell you a bit about the bad organisation and lack of communication in this homestay. We were sure we’ve ordered a private boat with them directly to Manado, but it turned out that they took us by boat to another village from where we had to go by taxi around 45 minutes. We paid quite a lot for the boat but nobody informed us it’s gonna look completely different. The rest was fine, good food, great location but we’re disappointed because of that situation. They will not inform you as well if your early morning trip is cancelled. You have to go and wake the host up to get some information.

Such a nice place - Frangky and his wife are so friendly and helpful with everything. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it! Would for sure come back.

Food was incredible, and Frangky and Nona really look out for their guests to make sure you have the best possible time on the island. Highly recommend!

The location. Frangky, his wife and Eda made the stay comfortable. The food was excellent (I really miss the fish) and everyone was very kind. There is usually chicken or fish but you can request vegetarian/vegan options. The beds were comfortable and the mosquito nets worked well (though I didn't notice many mosquitos). The location is excellent as snorkeling by the nearby beaches is great. You can see turtles basically every time you go. The nights are quiet and you can sleep with just a fan. If you need AC that is available as well. Frangky also offers trips and the dolphin trip was a good choice.

I didn't really dislike much as it was good value. The shower pressure is minimal but gets the job done. One room had a bit too many ants but not a big deal if you were aware of it (so don't put your stuff in their path).

Fantastic home stay in Bunaken!!!!

Friendly and helpful hosts, great food, clean rooms, location is in the village but with a short walk to the beach. There's a few small stores nearby. There is no ATM so bring enough cash! Not all the rooms have a/c other rooms have a fan. The all round happy atmosphere and the interaction with other guests made it a very memorable stay.

Bathroom could’ve been better

It was a perfect stay! We stayed there for 4 nights and it was one of the best places we have been. It's a real island experience. You can go diving or snorkeling everyday. Frangky also offers snorkeling and dolphin tours which we did and it was amazing! We had all inclusive which was totally worth it because it tasted wonderful! The rooms are simple but really nice and comfortable. For 3€ more you can get a room with an Aircon if you need, otherwise the fan is also working quite good. Frangky also helped us to organise the trip to Gorontalo from Manado which worked out really good. All the people there are really nice and you feel welcomed from the first second. I can only recommend to stay there!
