Poundgate Park Cottage

We had a lovely few days at Poundgate Park Cottage, the outside space is beautiful, and our little girl loved the swing and exploring. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, we were allowed to have a fire outside one evening to roast marshmallows which was fun! We loved watching for wildlife, there was a little goldfinch that sat outside the kitchen window every morning :) Great location, just a short drive from restaurants and supermarkets, we also took a visit to Pooh corner which was only a 15-minute drive away and a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Fast wifi connection meant I was able to work from home during the day, there is also a lovely pub across the road where the staff are really friendly. We are trying to find enough people so we can return to sleep in the bigger house next door and will be recommending it to others!

Sorry but it is extremely difficult to find and on a busy road so difficult to slow down or stop. Backwards and forwards several times. The sat nav is completely useless 😒 Photos of accommodation show pictures of both properties so you are not sure what came with the one you booked. Duvets on double bed had to be changed as stained.

The friendly hostess Liesha provides superb bedding, such as down duvets, a washing machine, and an iron board apart from other self-catering facilities, in this comfy and lovely cottage. The hostess, as an artist, makes the cottage a 'showroom' of her impressionist oil paintings, a free gallery experience. Opposite the residence, there is a pub, Crow and Gate Inn, serving meals before 8 pm.
