Anchorage 42

This was one of the best stays of my life. The property Anchorage 42 is just awesome - It’s decorated with so much vintage stuff that it feels like you have stepped into a museum. The property is also spotlessly clean and the service is top notch. And the host is so helpful. He joins you for breakfast everyday and you end up having a nice and hearty conversation.

There was nothing to dislike about the property.

English of staff not brilliant.

Excellent location.The host was very welcoming and joined us for breakfast for casual chit chat. Home made breakfast was excellent and not the usual hotel food. We got to savour the special punjab white butter with parathas. It was less of a hotel and more of a home stay and small museum with so many paintings and artefacts. Everything was taken care of immediately by the staff Ritika and Roshan . We enjoyed the morning tea in the cozy common balcony. Definitely recommended if you want to make your stay in Chandigarh extra special.

Exquisite property with amazing decor and peaceful location. The host warmly showed us his museum standard art and furniture collection.

Der sehr hilfsbereite Hausherr nahm sich beim Frühstück bewusst Zeit, um sich mit uns und den Gästen auszutauschen. Die Gespräche gaben uns Einblicke in gesellschaftliche und politische Themen Indiens. Auch konnten uns die anderen Gäste mit wertvollen Ratschlägen zu alltäglichen Fragen behilflich sein. Die Lage der Unterkunft liegt unweit des Regierunskomplexes (kostenlose Führungen, sehenswert!) ist außerdem geeignet für eine frühmorgendliche Jogging Runde um den Sukhana Lake (ca. 8,5 km).

Location was fabulous. The place was very inviting, lush green surroundings. Owners had displayed their amazing vintage collection of artefacts and art.

There was an unpleasant smell in our room, probably from some faulty plumbing in the toilet
