Hotel Woodville Inn - Hotel in Mcleodganj

This hotel truly exceeded expectations. The location was excellent – very convenient and close to key attractions. The view from my room was absolutely beautiful, making the stay even more special. The food was consistently great, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. What stood out most was the wonderful service – friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable stay!

Location of this hotel was misleading on map. The hotel is not located in town - it’s at the bottom of a steep hill.in order to arrive to the Dalay lama temple, you need to climb about 10 minutes and another 10 minutes climb to the center of town.there is no Ubber service and a taxi inside Maclud will cost 400 rupees fixed price from point to point. Staff were helpful. Room was big and clean.

The main problem is the shower. Firstly, almost all the control knobs are broken, secondly, the water heater is very weak - hot water lasts for three minutes.

Hotel Woodville is superb! The accomodation is outstanding quality, I loved the decor and I had such a stunning view out over Mcleodganj. It was perfectly located for visiting the Dalai Lama’s temple and connecting with the spiritual side of the area. It also was very quiet and night, if you stay right in the centre it can be noisy and here is just perfect! Plus the food that they make is some of the best India I’ve ever eaten- try the yellow lentil Dahl!
