Hotel Woodville Inn - Hotel in Mcleodganj

This property , although out of the main town and bustle was in a great position we thought. Every day we walked up the hill to town and got our exercise but were rewarded by views snd peace at night when returning. This hotel is very very clean in the rooms and foyer area snd we were able to have a room each as it was great value for money.

The location and the person in the front desk was super helpful in anything we needed

The hotel is a below average hotel for budget traveller...,The property is located near to Dalai Lama temple,but to reach the temple there's a stretch of 500mtrs steep road.. For us it was okay as we were into budget travelling and wanted to explore each and every part of the place ... *The rooms are spacious.. *Staff was good (though they were not trained nor professional)but they were soft spoken.

For us it was okay as we were into budget travelling and wanted to explore each and every part of the place ...,but would not recommend this to family travellers as the hotel is below average and far from the main McLeod Ganj mall road ,one need to walk for 10000 steep steps to reach the market place and eating joints....plus it's a one way you cannot take any cab to climb that road.... So the only thing is to walk ...

Very nice and helpful staff, room was clean and spacious, beautiful view from the terrace. Hotel located aside but close to the main square.

I got a free upgrade so a room with a balcony. The view was fantastic! The room is soundproof and has double glass which rarely happens in India so I was delighted to have quiet nights without earplugs. The bedroom was really great overall with a comfy, large bed and a really nice bathroom. Also, the staff was very pleasant and attentive. They got me a taxi and a guide for the day to go around Dharamsala. The same taxi drove me to Bir Billing and helped me there to arrange paragliding. For the food, I didn't eat much in their restaurant, ( I just got tea) because I found a lovely art cafe nearby (it's called The other space) and their food and space was perfect so I went there twice a day.

Nothing. I totally recommend this hotel to anyone who has high standards but doesn't want to spend a fortune. After 2 years of living in India and having traveling around the country, I can say this is one of my fave hotels.

I’d like the staff, the manager/oner Arun, was professional, helpful, and very gentle. I’d like the location very close to the temple and the market. The room are clean, comfortable and the price was good. Also the food was very tasty. A wonderful experience.
