Green Heaven Lodge

De familie was erg aardig, maar spraken niet echt Engels. De locatie was erg mooi. Het eten was prima. De bedden waren wel comfortabel, maar geen beddengoed (alleen fleece dekens die volgens mij niet gewassen werden).

De badkamer was echt vies. De vloer was kapot. Verder was het heel erg basic. De (hoewel warme) douche had bijna geen waterdruk

Only one electric sockets were working, so we had to take turns for using electric appliances

La situation est dingue et on mérite la vue incroyable après la cinquantaine d’escaliers magnifiques. Évitez si vous avez des problèmes de marche ou de santé. L’accueil est adorable et l’environnement merveilleux. Le petit déjeuner très généreux. Le dîner aussi si vous décidez de le prendre là. Évitez de prendre ce petit chemin qui mène à l’entrée de la guest House avec un van surtout en cas de pluie. Tuktuk recommandé ! Bref très pittoresque ! Et prestations qui correspondent aux prix.

Jetez un œil à la propreté et aux draps si possible. Mais je ne doute pas que ce fût un accident de parcours

We had a lovely stay at green heaven. It is a short tuk tuk ride up the hill but this means you are in a wonderful natural setting. Mongooses, monkeys and flamebacks (Sri Lankan woodpecker) in abundance. We ate breakfasts there and most nights dinner, if curry is your thing, a must try!

Beautiful place uphill in the middle of nature. You can enjoy an unforgetable breakfast with amazing views in a pleasent terrace in front the room. The hosts can prepare a delicious and unexpensive dinner for you. The place can only be reached by tuktuk, beacuse it’s in a narrow road. Otherwise you can walk to the main road. You’ll need to climb a few stairs in the last step, but all good things require some effort…! A great value!

The house is secluded in the jungle, where you are woken up by birds. The lady who takes care of the house is very friendly and helpful. The access to the house is steep, so the best option is a tuk tuk, and also here you have to get out at certain parts so that the vehicle can overcome the slope. The accommodation is suitable for lovers of an authentic nature. For greater comfort at night, do not forget to ask for an extra blanket.

Kasun and his family have been very thoughtful and responsive. The breakfast was gorgeous, lots of yummy local and international options and fruits. We asked for more blankets and get them straight away. They were always available, bringing tea and biscuits when we arrived. Loved the place, the forest, saw a deer in the morning.

It was a lovely place in the middle of nature/the jungle. It is peaceful, and you can easily spot monkeys and other animals from your balcony. Ps. They have a lovely cat!!

It can be a bit humid in the room. The host can’t do anything about this; it’s simply the climate.

You stay with an amazingly kind family. They cooked rice and curry and fried rice that was better than most restaurants and very affordable. The room is simple and clean. Please note that there are stairs with about 50 steps to get to the lodge from the road, and that the road leading up to it is made for tuktuks, not cars.
