Hotel Aiges Melathron

The hotel was right outside of the busy town which was great as driving in town is tricky. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable, with a little balcony. We overlooked the pool - there was very loud music playing and we didn't hear any of it in our room. The pool is huge, gorgeous and spotless and though they open it to the public, there are tables and seats reserved for hotel guests. Close to Vergina, our main reason for visiting, a 12 minute drive. Good breakfast. Great, great, great service. Catered kindly to the vegan in our group.

Was a bit old fashioned, we thought this was fine but not for every taste. The loud music at the pool made it feel a bit like Ibiza but we got used to it. We weren't so thrilled with the town itself (I think in some years after all of the construction work is done it may be a lot nicer), so we really didn't need two nights, but for seeing Vergina this was perfect. We ate here the last night - food was fine but nothing special.

The best recepcionist staff ever! Friendly, kind, always happy to help. The swimming pool is very well maintained and staff bring you water to keep you hydrated!

The pool is with amazing size for a hotel. A bar is also at disposal. There is a restaurant and the city of Veria is only at 15-minutes walking distance.

The gym could be improved but it is there :) Also, the hotel is on the board of the road with traffic. The isolation is good, this shouldn’t be a problem.

Good facilities, good food

Service is excellent. Room is clean and comfortable. Pool is great. Hotel is near highway exit and it is perfect for travelers and transit over night.

All is ok.

We arrived late at the hotel after a delayed flight but the staff were ready for us and friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the wifi was fine. Room and bathroom and common areas were spotless. As we had a relatively early start we didn't get a chance to take advantage of facilities such as the pool, but breakfast was very good - a wide choice of food and eaten outside on a shady balcony with a fine view. A good location for getting to the local sights.

Overall, a great stay. No negatives come to mind.
