CAPS LOCK Airport Hotel

not soundproofed, mattress very unconfortable, very expensive

On offer are barebones sleeping quarters in the main arrivals hall of the airport--without any acoustic insulation from announcements and other ambient noise. The single shower with corroding installations is shared among all guests, while the airport toilets are shared with the general public. (Imagine walking in a pajama through a public space.) So overall, a stay here can be recommended only between flight connections or if one is really in the mood for a sojourn in what feels like an inner-city campground.

Upon late-evening arrival there was no personnel for check-in, and calls to the provided phone number produced merely a recorded message (in Russian), so a line of people had to wait patiently for the return of the attendant, who must have been busy elsewhere.

Good space in the capsule. Staff are friendly. Clean area and shower is good.

The CAPS LOCK hotel is directly located inside the airport. A bathroom with sink and shower is directly within the capsule village; right beside the CAPS LOCK is a cafe with lots of working and standard electrical outlets. The toilets are right across the hall.

I stayed 2 times at the CAPS LOCK - once at the start of my trip and once at the end. The capsules are made from white plastic. This leads to the rooms being relatively bright. In addition, the dirt on the outside of the capsule throws shadows. It would've been better to use dark plastic on the outside, even if it doesn't look as fancy. Unfortunately, the capsules do not have the electrical outlets that are standard in Kasachstan (type C or F) but instead provide a multi-national adapter outlet - unfortunately, the outlet had loose contacts with my phone charger (type C plug) and I was rarely able to charge it. Luckily, one of the capsules had 1 of 2 USB charging ports working, the second capsule had none. The shower is quite moldy and the bathroom
