"AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS"

The location was terrible (though of course I had a chance to check on the map). It really is a long way out of town.

When I arrived, despite having a booking.com booking, I was told no rooms were available because there were 'a lot of Russians' (at this time, cowards avoiding the draft and escaping into neighbouring countries). If that wasn't bad enough the receptionist couldn't give a damn. And so there I was in a strange city, in the dark ... I got a taxi to a decent place called Sunkar but Astina refused to help or even pay the 1500 tenge for the taxi (three GBP). Please avoid this dreadful place.
