Casa Brutarului Crit

The room was freshly cleaned on our arrival. A refrigerator was brought into our room upon our request.

Although there was a chest of drawers in our room, there was no wardrobe or even hangers to hang our clothes on. There was only one chair in the room for two people, no table either. Also, we found the lighting in our room quite bad - there were very bright, almost blinding lights on the ceiling lamp while not even a small bedlamp on the bedside table. The owner asked us not to eat in the room, which on the one hand is understandable, and on the other hand - quite debatable and possibly creating an inconvenience. On arrival we had to ask for towels (again, a debatable thing - maybe they'd just cleaned it and hadn't had the time to put in the room?) Although there was apparently a common area available with tables and chairs, there was no kettle there (or in the room). It was indeed very nice of an elderly lady (someone from the owner's family?) to heat up some water on her own cooker for me (I had a bad food poisoning), still I don't understand how there could be no access to boiled water. The part which seemed the most charming to us while booking the place - the fact that this place is also a bakery, and we were thinking along the lines of awwww beautiful Romanian countryside freshly baked bread and coffee in the morning birds chirping in the trees (and, my boyfriend IS from Romania, he knows Transylvania quite well, a street- smart and wordly-wise traveler, make no mistake) - this, this part, forget it. We listened to continuous noise coming from the window-to-window bakery until half past midnight, and, I mean, it was really loud to the point that it made it impossible for us to sleep. Quality-price ratio? In our opinion, not worth it.

The breakfast was very good and there were plenty of variaty, especially meet.

We booked an apartment half board, with dinner and breakfast included, but the owner called us and said that we have to pay separately for the breakfast and dinner as the offer on Booking is not accurate. As it was a non refundable offer we couldn't cancel it anymore and we finished paying double which was quite expensive considering the area. Also the hot water was limited and the last person had to have a cold shower and in the bathroom there were plenty of things which needed to be repaired or changed.

Nice quiet place. Huge dinner. Room a bit cold as heating was off.

We liked the accomodation and we will book again.
