Willo Stays Luxe Heritage Home , Udupi

We stayed at WilloStays Luxe Heritage Home in Udupi for a short break, and the location itself was what made the stay special. Being set between the sea and the backwaters gave the whole place a very calm and soothing feel, especially in the early mornings and evenings. Even though it feels peaceful and tucked away, Udupi town is only around 15 minutes away, so getting food or visiting nearby places was very easy. The caretaker was genuinely helpful throughout our stay and made sure everything was comfortable without being intrusive. The house has a warm heritage charm that feels different from a regular stay, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to truly relax. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay near Udupi with a more personal touch, this place is worth experiencing

The ambience is awesome with backwater at the rear and beach in the front

Its an old ancestral home converted into a beautiful heritage home , with out loosing its charm , beach on one side and backwaters on the other side , kayaking activity is also there next door .

Liked the location and the traditional furniture.

The whole place looked as if the bedrooms were created from small alcove and marketed as a 4 bedroom property. Rooms were created out of nooks and spaces. No proper facilities including water provision in the room was made. Caretaker couldn't speak any language except Kannada so it was difficult to get across our basic needs including tea and coffee. NO arrangements were made for food at the property nor basic provisions including tea, coffee some snacks etc were not readily available. Bed sheet was dirty in one bedroom and had to be changed. Basically it is just a pretty cottage without any hotel like facilities. It is very expensive and not worth it. The owners stay far so there is no direct supervision. We checked out at 8.30am and the owner messaged at 11am reminding us to check out. With a little more attention and thought it could be made into a better property.

Well maintained property with modern amenities, yet heritage look Hot water, good, clean toiletries, microwave, gas stove, freezer, washing machine Ocean on one side and backwaters on other side, land strip being about 1000 ft in between the two Almost a private beach Decent homely breakfast

Caretaker could be better

Exotic location between river and ocean. Nice upkeep of the house. Close to water sports activities. One spacious bedroom upstairs with verandah.

Bedrooms on the ground floor are small, without much ventilation. The cot fills up the room! Only for small kids. One bedroom has no AC. WiFi was not working well.

Wow just wow , property is a charm , situated right in the middle of sea and backwaters . Beautiful heritage interiors .Boating and kayaking activities around . Good service done by the Caretaker . My family loved it ,

Nothing to dislike , it’s too good

the breakfast was excellent.. very good location with ocean on one side and backwater on the other. had some issue with the power cut but the host took care of it. the caretaker could be little more proactive.. rest was great.. had a lovely time!
