Bella Italia Palace Hotel

I would strongly advice against even considering to stay in this hotel. In all fairness it's probably ok if you are a single person just wanting a bed for the night, but if you happen to have the least request whatsoever, I would be very worried about how it might be dealt with. In my case, I requested a baby cot be placed in the room. This was requested on booking, and I received an e-mail confirming that it was possible at no extra charge. On arrival, there was no cot available, I was told I hadn't made the booking properly and that they had never accepted a baby because they're not a family hotel. Not the shadow of an apology to be had. To cut a long story short, I decided to leave and asked to be refunded, at the minimum for breakfast. Everything I suggested was refused and none of the questions I asked were answered. I was left completely puzzled as the discussion became more and more absurd with the most irrelevant arguments popping up in a very aggressive tone. They refused to put any of their claims in writing, I spoke to a coordinator on the phone from the reception desk and he refused to give his name, I left in shock at the treatment I got, especially given the great reviews I'd read before coming. I thought this was going to be a very pleasant stay in a 4* hotel I'd had the luck to find a good price for... Unfortunately they only apply the 4* when they think you've paid enough, and I'm not making that up, that's practically what I was told. I always think it's very odd when there's a terrible review in among all the good ones and I often imagine it must be in part due to the person writing, who might have had unreasonable demands. Believe me, I am used to travelling and I am still shocked more than 24h later at the treatment I received. Do not stay here, it's as simple as that, and I've never written that in a review.

The hotel is very quite and clean. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast a large one, unusual for Italy. Rooms are very spacious and the bathroom very clean and modern, the parket flour is very comfortable in comparison to the old carpet floors that you find in a large number of hotels. We have bin traveling for more than a week in France and Germany but this hotel was the best so far. The price quality relation is perfect. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anybody that is traveling in this area.

Great Hotel, Rooms are spacious and the bathroom also. Breakfast is typically Italian. With lots of sweet stuff like cakes etc. But also there is enough to choose from if you like a more hearty breakfast. Always fun when you arrive in the hotel in the afternoon the scent of freshly baked cakes welcomes you. Staff is more than friendly and always willing to help.

Driving trip returning from holiday in Italy we found this really good hotel,staff are lovely, rooms superb, hot and cold buffet breakfast good quality and plentiful. Quiet area away from the hustle and bustle and a first class restaurant a few minutes walk away. Will book this hotel again.

Really excellent service. Extra cappuccino whilst waiting. Good service at the breakfast and always smiling staff. The breakfast room looks is a bit like you are in a brothel (or a Chinese hotel) and it is also the bar (which is even weird as the bar then only has restaurant tables). The hotel is on the second and third floor of an office building that you enter via another door. Dark and long corridors. A bit of a strange setting. The room itself is fair. Certainly not bright or fancy. It has sufficient facilities although it might have more electrical sockets. Good bed, nothing special. Quiet area so a good sleep. At breakfast they serve the all the continental and Italian stuff (nothing warm though, but I suspect you could ask for an egg). Fresh and good coffee. The hotel is located some 15 minutes walking from the city centre via a wide street. The area itself is semi-industrial and certainly not nice. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, but I couldn't figure out how it worked.

The title said it all. The staff thought we did not understand Italian whilst they were talking about our booking and they were not very polite at all. The breakfast was very nice and the rooms as well, but the location was not very attractive.
