Cottage on Cork -Laffin Cottage

Excellent dog friendly property, lovely and tidy, lovely beds, great location, easy check in and out.

Shower was a bit uncomfortable, but not a dealbreaker. Could use a new shower head. I’ll be back for sure!

Getting a good night sleep while travelling. Fantastic!

It was a well presented, clean and functional cottage. Very homely. We loved it.

Whilst the cottage was clean and clearly maintained well by the cleaner and the bed was very comfortable, there’s a few things to note.

. - Listed as pet friendly but was requested to keep the dog out of most rooms, off all furniture including the couch and bed. The couch and other furniture had long dog fur on it already. - The listed photos were very misleading, the toilet is actually outside and downstairs, there’s no back patio with an outdoor setting (concrete slabs with metal poles on it) every inch of grass was dead with bunches of random items around the yard (asking for snakes), the photos don’t show the fences on both sides of the property (tiny fences with bigger dogs constantly attempting to jump). - The oven hardly works, don’t bother trying to cook. - The next door neighbours dogs were barking consistently throughout the whole night, making it impossible to sleep. We couldn’t let our dog outside off lead and even on lead most of the time as they were attempting to jump over. - There’s a tree which constantly bangs on the main bedroom window with slight winds. In combination with the dogs, good luck sleeping. - We arrived slightly late and weren’t able to find any instructions on Booking.com so I contacted Lisa and was met with a rude conversation about how she had sent me a message which I explained I’d been travelling all day and had not received. It was made clearly (about 5 times) that we can’t have the dog on the carpet (in both bedrooms) or on the bed or couch. This should be specified in the listing to begin with, or don’t list it as pet friendly. - The “laundry” area is outside in the open.

Good air-conditioning and comfortable beds. Very clean and colourful artwork.

Poor TV reception.
