Kandy Nature Resort

I appreciated soo much to be and sleep in the jungle in the little tent. The owner marshal is very friendly and makes you feeling home. The delicious cooked in fire singalese breakfast. And the authentic simplicity of the place. It is very close to Kandy where we could appreciate the lovely temples and the beautiful lake.

Had a great camping experience in Kandy, and a great taste of local life. Tents are fine and (after a short walk) there are comfortable washing and toileting facilities. Some extra information for those who consider staying: My tent had one power outlet (type G) and inner and outer lights. There are two families living very close by, that are very welcoming and provided me with local food (and lots of tea) on request, in their home. The place can be reached by bus from Kandy (Rs. 50 one way, bus 653 and more, not on Google), though I was happy that the locals showed me how to get to/from the bus stop before I tried it myself. If getting lost somewhere close to the camp site, asking for ‘Marshal’s camping’ is very helpful. Might also be helpful to have the owner’s phone number, as the place might be a bit hard to find/enter.
