Hostel Put Svile

A tiny, nice place to stay for a night or two. The personal is extremly friendly and helpfull - true Serbian hospitality!

Location right in the bus station, but without the noise. Attentive, kind and helpful owner. Very clean. Small kitchen to prepare your morning coffee or a light breakfast. Remark: Room is indeed very tiny, it's more kind of a capsule cel with 2 bunk beds: 4 m2, just for sleeping only and stand erect, but that's mentioned in the discription of the hostel, so no unpleasant surprise for that.

Excellent location (just 10 seconds to the bus station). Owner is very kind and nice to chat with. The whole place is always kept clean to a standard that I even think it is newly opened. Would 100% recommended to stay here if you visit Subotica.

This is a very good hostel, the owner makes sure his guests have a good time and he helps them with anything they need for traveling in Serbia.

The owner was nice, helpful, and spoke good English. He was always around, so asking about anything was easy and effortless. A word of warning: the owner has a strong personality and is quite meticulous about many things, but don't let that scare you. He will help you with anything as long as you’re willing to have a conversation about Tesla or Americans :D. The hostel is extremely, extremely, extremely clean. The owner provides you with clean slippers, and shoes are left at the entrance. The hostel has clear rules but no curfew. For a bunk bed, the bed is quite comfortable and spacious. The common outside area is nice and has a cooler. The owner offered us morning coffee. Early check-in was possible, and he arranged a room for us immediately, even though we were very early. Even though the facilities are simple, staying at this hostel is still a fun experience. This is an experience you don’t want to miss out on especially if you’re a solo-traveller!

The rooms are very small. Besides the bed, there’s barely enough space to turn around on the floor. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, so it gets very hot in the summer. There’s a small window near the ceiling in the rooms that can be opened to the air-conditioned corridor, and a small and very noisy fan that you can turn on if you want to but it doesn't help a lot.

This place is so cool. Especially if you are a solo traveller. The owners are the best! Super friendly and you really do feel like at home. It is also super clean and cozy. 100% recommended.

It is not a problem for me, but if you're claustrophobic, mind the space in the room because it is almost nothing. The bed is very comfortable though.

It's very close to the bus station. The staff were the best two guys, always going out of their way to assist you.
