Avoid this place at all costs – a truly horrifying experience with aggressive, psychopathic hosts. We booked what was supposed to be a 3-bedroom apartment in Croatia, but what we got was a nightmare. What we didn’t know when booking is that the owners actually live in the same house and constantly spy on guests. The mother of the manager was watching our every move – when we entered, when we left – and even entered our apartment without our knowledge or permission. We were not allowed to use the grill, even though it was shown in the pictures and it was not mentioned that it belonged only to one apartment. The flat did not even have basic things like hand soap, dishwashing liquid, or garbage bags. Toilet paper was provided only upon request. Things quickly escalated. This older woman (apparently the mother of the manager) started screaming at us, claiming we were not allowed to have visitors, even though nothing like that was mentioned in the booking conditions. She was rude, verbally abusive, and kept shouting that she was the “gazda” (the boss/owner). The atmosphere became unbearably hostile. We decided to leave one day earlier just to get away from this insanity, but that’s when it turned into a complete nightmare. The hosts accused us of “destroying” the apartment because we left used bedding behind. Then the father appeared and verbally assaulted my friend with homophobic slurs, calling him names. They even called neighbors, who joined in verbally and physically attacking him. It escalated so badly that we had to call the police for our safety. Thankfully, the police arrived and resolved the situation so we could finally leave. This was not just an unpleasant stay – it was traumatic, dangerous, and completely unacceptable. These people are invasive, aggressive, and homophobic. Do not stay here under any circumstances. Protect yourself and your loved ones – avoid this property at all costs.
