"Basic but good for the money."

The breakfast was good for the price. They gave me an English translation of the menu options at reception when I checked in. The hotel was basic but it met my needs. The room was clean but small. The hotel had the look of it was the owners home as well. So they had the fish tank and the plants in the public areas.

I would not put personal items such as the fish tank and the plants in the public areas but that is just personal preference. Also I would not leave the replacement windows in the corridors and one room unlocked with the door open.
