Sophia Areopoli Guesthouse

We did a short stopover in Areopoli and our room there was perfect for our needs. I don’t think it was the room I booked but I think it was actually better! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were ever in the area.

Instant booking, 5 min after the booking I was inside the appartment The host is very responsive and friendly. Very good communication. I also met her in person - extremely warm person. Especially if I had a very bad communication experience at the same night booking to another property which had false information and awful communication skills. Very well located Airconditioned/heating Historical building from 1836, high ceilings.

There was capsule coffee machine with provided capsules but coffee cups were missing ..but I am absolutely sure it was just that one night as I saw in the morning the cleaning staff bringing coffee cups to other rooms of the same property. So, the coffee cups were in the cleaning. Nothing to complain about :)

It must be the best located accommodation in Areopoli, without exaggeration. Literally in the most central spot! And the owner was always very kind, sweet and willing on the phone. This is always pleasant.

The apartment needed some love, and bits and pieces here and there that needed fixing (e.g. an almost broken toilet paper handle in the bathroom, and some fresh wall paint). Also I would invest a bit more on the mattresses as they were not very comfortable.

Top location, easy check-in, big terrace

There is a grill smell in the evening, my boyfriend didn't like the bathroom. The room is very small for this price.

Location was perfect

Not easily accessible due to steep stairs and sounds from outside and nearby rooms could be heard.

The location was lovely, as it is on the main Street with all the shops, restaurants and cafes. Lovely view of the church on Kapetan Matapa. They provide parking area very close to the rooms. Very recently renovated.

The internal soundproofing wasn't very good as you could hear what was going on in the other rooms. Also we stayed for 5 nights and the room service visited only once and didn't refill the toiletries. Also small practical issue is that there was no hanger in the bathroom to hang your towel.

Central position. Beautiful recently restored structure that has everything you need.

Not so easy to find after four calls and various text messages. Very nice shower but take it quickly otherwise you risk flooding the bathroom. I still can't explain why there was a cave to access the bathroom.

Amazing location,great sound isolation even if it's on main street,spacious,convenient for mini cooking tasks
