Westport Country Chalets

The chalet we stayed in was very nice - it’s a small space but very cozy. It’s got everything you need and the owners were very helpful and friendly.

The property is very close to a main road and the e windows aren’t sound proof so we could hear cars driving by at all hours (most likely taxis, as it was a long weekend) It was hard to get a restful nights’ sleep.

Cosy, clean, practical & a good location.

It was a perfect place to explore that part of Ireland. It felt like home to us after a day sightseeing. The owners were friendly and wonderful and gave us some good tips. There were also gorgeous views from the cottage.

I found the sofa a bit uncomfortable and the table was too high.

Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Rural location, plenty of room to park.

Quite close to a main road, so some traffic noise during the day; night time was fine.

Host was pleasant and personable. Place is spotless with small fridge. Shower is good........ A light should kick in when one arrives at property. Its good that there are heaters in both rooms. Bring your own coffee machine for longer stays.

Even though property is only outside town ....... there are no signposts to property even when you are right close to the property. This is out in the country in the dark. Hostess said that they were fixing the entrance and that they would have a sign up soon. But this is a big problem in my experience in Ireland. Google app doesn't do well in these remote places..... says things like "road unknown". It should be a government regulation that hotels and aerbnbs be properly signposted with lit signs. If you drive from Cork to Westport you're pretty tired and not down for game of "seek & find",. Sofa in living room has seen better days!
