The hosts are warm and welcoming, and were always ready to provide anything. They did everything to make it stress free. The room was not fancy, but the whole homestay is excellent value for money. The food is home-cooked and simply fantastic! It's a small place with 4 (soon 5) rooms, so spending time with their family and other guests is easy. The local community was also wonderfully open and friendly on my walks around. Their private beach means that you basically have it all to yourself, so if you're looking to spend some time in secluded peace and quiet (not easy in India), and enjoy spectacular sunsets, this is the place. I would highly recommend Albert and Sunipta's place, and will certainly stay there on my next trip to Kerala!

Costs of transport, food, and trips could be more clear and told up front. The menu didn't have prices, for example, which made it challenging to budget. Not a big thing, but it brings me to my next point. Only cash is accepted. This is pretty standard in India and I understand the reasons for it, but it meant several ATM runs to get enough cash, since Indian banks limit foreign debit card withdrawals to 10 000 rs. That meant fees that added up quickly. A card machine may not be the worst thing to consider. Details: a few more hangers in the room, another towel hook in the bathroom :)

Situated on the beach, Xaviers Inn was a pleasant surprise. The room was on the first floor, facing the sea. Although there was a small house between the balcony and the sea, it did not block the view. The room and bath were very clean and comfortable. Mr Albert and his wife were excellent hosts and they went out of there way to cater to all our needs and requests. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The sea was safe to swim and the waters very pleasant.

The locals use the sea for their morning business. Wish the local authorities would provide them with public toilets and convince them to use them!

Location was excellent and owners were very kind and helpful. Furthermore, the beach was clean and quiet which we enjoyed really much. The food served was fresh and delicious Kerala style!

It’s a great place to stay.It was the best experience staying there. The beach was very close to the property and it is a private beach and I love it .Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained...Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Owner(Albert).Staff was extremely friendly.Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. Especially Albert help us in every situation and Sunitha 's food was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place and I would definitely want to come back to this place again. Thank you Albert and Sunitha for being a nice host.
