"Just what we imagined-cosy old Inn in lovely location."

Booked suite -lots of room plus quiet. Good breakfast, cosy bar with fire, very friendly and helpful staff.

Didn't realise there was limited food offering but it worked out well. Recommendation by Red Lion staff for next door the Whittling House proved great- lovely meal. Pizza at Red Lion was great another night.

Perfectly located in centre of Alnmouth

No reference on Booking.com that only open in winter on a Tuesday and Wednesday as B and B, pub not open for drinks or food.

Location and bedroom

The pub and restaurant were closed and the staircase up to the bedroom could be dangerous as wet and dark.

We hadn't realised the restaurant would be closed in winter and the bar not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Our stay was Tuesday to Friday.
