Villa Kungssten

The location was very close to the city centre if you enjoy walking - approx. 3km from Slotskoggan and 4km from Haga, which for someone who enjoys walking a city like me was good, with a decent walk through Gothenburg getting to enjoy some residential streets before hitting the main city. Being away from the main city also meant it was quiet. For those who might not wish to walk, there was a tram/bus stop very close by, and the hosts were very willing to assist with travel directions/support had I needed them. The room was very spacious with a good sized bathroom and plenty of room for bags without tripping over things, and a good sized desk for laptop use. The breakfast bag was very good, and handy coming as a bag which could be collected from the kitchen when ready for it rather than being at a set service time - this provided a lot of flexibility (I personally am not a big breakfast eater so being able to have this slightly later for brunch was much better for me). I drove from the UK to Goteborg and fell asleep very quickly on arrival as a result, the beds were comfortable enough to keep me asleep until my alarm the next morning.

Very nice hosts, thanks to Bibbi and Frans Charming room with good bed and bath, very clean. Perfect location for car travellers, as you avoid the traffic mess in central Göteborg. With local train nearby you have good access to city as well as to the coast and islands.

If you are breakfast lover and expect a large buffet with much choice, you will not find that here. But what you get is ok for a start into the day and you get a space in the fridge for your own food.
