Mwi Village House

Host (Mwi) was very friendly and helpful. Suggested things for us to see during our stay. It was lovely to see the chickens and goats which were at the property. Felt very safe, we went for walks at the back of the property and saw Zebra, Wildebeast and Impala. We ate dinner at the property and thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Breakfast was very nice and we were consulted as to what time we would like it. Mwi was a superb host.

Nothing not to like, a rail with some hangers would be good to hang clothes up but didn’t bother us as only there for 2 nights.

We can highly recommend this accommodation. Mwi built this accommodation himself and also looks after his guests personally. There is a lot of passion in the accommodation, which can be felt in many details such as the furnishings and entertainment. The sunset on the terrace is unforgettable while enjoying a delicious meal. Mwi is very helpful and takes great care of his guests. We had a few questions about our further route, he took the time to provide us with the necessary information. The rooms are excellent. There is WiFi and a hot shower. We will definitely come back and thank you Mwi for this unforgettable stay.

We loved the warm hospitality at this b&b. The owner (Mwi) is well-travelled himself and up for a chat about the world. We had dinner (extra charge) both nights and it was excellent - highly recommend this both because the food is great, and because there are few other dining options nearby. Our room was comfortable and very clean.

Electricity supply in Tanzania is unreliable (not the hotel’s fault, this affects all properties), and so cooling options (aircon, fan) can be interrupted by this.

We had a great time in Mwi house. In the village, with home animals, with amazing owner Mwi. Peaceful, nice rooms, beds and great dinner. A very nice home-like experience. Thanks Mwi and the cooking lady (sorry, I forgot the name). See you soon, Aljaž, Aruna and friends

We had an excellent stay and an remarkable service. We recently an issue with our transport vehicles, but the owner went above and beyond to provide additional services. He was incredibly open-minded and an interesting person to work with. We truly appreciate his dedication and support during this time.

we did not know what to expect as mwi village does not had a lot of reviews. We booked anyway and did not regret it. Later on we discovered that the reason that there were not a lot of reviews (yet) is because he only startrd the accommodation 2 years ago and its not on tripadvisor or facebook yet to have more visibility. Our stay was above our expectations. The accommodation consists of different houses, which are spacious and have a big bathroom. Mr Mwi has a lot of animals which made it even more special. He has built everything himself (over 12 years) and we admire what he did and accomplished. He is super kind, funny and also interested in you as a person. We only stayed 2 nights and regretted that we could not stay 1 night more. There is a very kind girl who makes breakfast and dinner on request. We could choose what we wanted to eat, which was great and much appreciated. In the evening we just stayed with mr mwi, had dinner on the terrace while watching the sunset and the stars. Mr mwi also helped us with some excursions. We went with him to an authentic masaai village close to the accommodation, which was great as he knew the real price (only pay per car) and he protected us from the crazy expensive tourist prices. He can also arrange other excursions such as biking around lake manyara at a very good price. so just tell him what you would like to do and he will arrange it for you. Mwi, the owner, was superbly welcoming and accommodating. We needed to leave early in the morning for a game drive, and he got up early to prepare coffee and breakfast for us to take away.
