Excellent food in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Great view over the valley and Matemale lake.

Nicely located in a quiet spot outside the center of town. The restaurant has wonderful views. The room was warm and cosy. The water hot.

The description of a room with a view of the lake is inaccurate and misleading. The room actually is a room with a view of the car park and a building site and crane with the lake as a backdrop in the distance ( an hours walk away ) The sauna is in the center of Les angles and a 20 minute walk away, it is not part of the hotels facilities as suggested in the description. The hotel has two huge dogs that bark and are unfriendly to guests as they move from the restaurant to the reception area in the hotel, the owners allow this behavior. The rooms only have one plug in each room, they are aware this can be a challenge for some guests with multiple devices and yet they provide no extension leads etc which could be a simple alternative to offer. The breakfast is underwhelming with hard boiled eggs and patisserie for 11 euros . No milk options or vegan options are offered. As a caeliac this is the first hotel I have ever stayed in where no effort was made to provide a gluten free option of some kind .. so 11 e for yoghurt and a compot and the poorest choice of fruits! Followed by cheap machine coffee. We chose not to dine in the evening as again no alternatives are offered on the over priced menu. I was told they pride themselves on haute cuisine and yet the chef had no idea what gluten was and they could not deviate from any of the clearly “ pre made “ dishes. We requested to leave our bags upon checking out at 10 am for 2 hours so we could explore the town luggage free. The answer was a firm no even though the owner knew we had particular circumstances with our car towed away on a breakdown and awaiting a taxi. This is not the kind of inflexible behavior you expect from a hotel with an unusually early check out time !

Could not eat after 21:45, but staff did speak to local cafe who made us some chips.

Location and the two dogs

There’s no socket near the bed, no hair blower, the check in time is at 4pm but the checkout is 10am, the room is really small and they should update the photo of which room they will assign. I have book the hotel as I thought we were having nice mountain views as what the photo showed when we book this place.

- the dinner was incredible every night. Tasty food & big portions - the view from the room and the restaurant - parking so easy and free - allow dogs - very friendly staff - bed was comfortable
