Beautiful setting. Must be one of the best in Europe. Staff were professional and caring. Wonderful place for a break. Loved it, will be back.

'Picking at straws' might have had a lift. I had no problem getting myself off my luggage/up/down stairs.

We recently stayed at Dolffanog Fawr for three nights, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The room was incredibly comfortable — spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully appointed, which made it a perfect retreat after exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside. One of the real highlights was the hospitality. Our host was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast, clearly made with care and using quality ingredients — a great way to start the day. The location itself is stunning. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with a breathtaking view of the rolling fields dotted with sheep. It was peaceful, scenic, and incredibly relaxing — exactly what we were looking for. All in all, Dolffanog Fawr is a gem. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway with top-notch hospitality in the heart of Wales. I’m already looking forward to returning!

"The Dolffanog Fawr is Ist Class"

Lorraine greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant. Our room was large and decorated and furnished in a modern style, and had fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and lake at the far end For breakfast, you are given a choice from a menu sheet the day before, covering both continental and full English, which was hot and well presented .

There's nothing to dislike about our stay, except I found the stairs a little steep, but that was owing to my age and health, which Lorraine recognised and carried our bags too and from the room.
