Fabulous 2 Bed Cottage - Outstanding Sea Views

Fantastic location. Near the centre with an amazing view of the harbour and sea. Perfect. Included parking pass for a nearby car park was a bonus.

Being picky I guess parking could have been closer but the geography of the town doesn't really allow this.

Das Haus ist grundsätzlich sehr schön und verfügt über viel Charme. Das Badezimmer mit der Dusche war hervorragend und die Küche war oberflächlich sauber und gut ausgestattet. Auch die Aussicht vom obersten Stockwerk ist wunderschön. Weshalb es so viel Duftstäbchen braucht, können wir nur vermuten.

Das größte Problem war die Heizung. Diese konnte von Gästen nicht selbst reguliert werden und es entwickelte sich regelrecht zu einer Bettelei, überhaupt eine angenehme Raumtemperatur zu erreichen. Das oberste Stockwerk wurde während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts nicht beheizt, die übrigen Räume nur zeitweise. Besonders enttäuschend war die Reaktion auf unsere Beschwerden: Uns wurde erklärt, dass sich bisher kein anderer Gast beschwert habe und 17 °C im Haus nicht kalt seien – obwohl dies bereits die höchste Temperatur war, die wir überhaupt wahrgenommen haben. Darüber hinaus waren Küche und Wohnzimmer deutlich dunkler als auf den Fotos. Im kleinen Hinterhof nbefanden sich bei unserer Ankunft Müll und zahlreiche leere Glasflaschen, die erst mehrere Tage nach unserem Hinweis entfernt wurden. Es gibt keinen Parkplatz und das Haus ist mit Gepäck nur schwer erreichbar. Die sehr steilen Treppen über mehrere Stockwerke sind ebenfalls nicht für jeden Gast geeignet. Nach mehreren Tagen hatten wir die Hoffnung auf eine dauerhafte Verbesserung aufgegeben und sind erstmals in einem Urlaub auf eigene Kosten eine Woche früher ausgezogen, um in eine andere Unterkunft umzuziehen.

Minor only given great value for money ... Mildly damp so towels weren't 'fresh' Tip: Park in free cark park and carry luggage - do not drive to house

Amazing location, cozy house which was clean and warm! Perfect for my wife and I plus our 9 month old son.

The views from the bedroom windows were excellent. It is really close to the harbour and all the cafes, shops and restaurants, they are literally a stones throw away

The narrow road through the village, including right outside the property was an experience. Though we seemed to be lucky most of the time with not meeting traffic coming the other way and as suggested we were able to unload and load using the passing place just up the hill

The location was excellent with a view over the harbour. Directions were good and the house was clean and well equipped. We were there in one of the January storms so it was very wet but everyone in the village was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly visit again

The lock box worked okay, but it was difficult to get the front door key into the lock and the lock was very stiff and felt at times as if the key might snap. Because of the weather there was rainwater running through the back yard and draining away.
