Agroturismo Son Boronat

The location and style of this hotel is beautiful without a doubt. Although we didn’t get to use it, the pool is also great. Our room, Palma, was elegantly decorated and very romantic.

This hotel needs more attention and staffing - it is run by the owner, a Swedish lady and her daughter (who lives in the USA and so isn’t present). There is only one member of staff who lives on site who makes the breakfast and then the owners two friends live in one of the rooms for free, describing their time there as ‘an adventure with free accommodation and a bit of yoga teaching’ - I did not consider them to be staff, just occasional ‘help’. And a cleaning lady who works Monday - Saturday. There was a huge storm whilst we stayed, we lost all electricity and our room flooded. Now, this is a finca in the hills so things like this are bound to go wrong, fine - but we didn’t receive any help/support from staff and had to ask for a lot. The owner left by 3pm during the worst storm Mallorca has seen for a while.. and didn’t come back until the following day. Firstly, it was a Sunday, so our room wasn’t cleaned .. we paid over €700 for three nights to stay in the suite and only had our room cleaned once. We had to ask for extra towels as we used them to stop the water flooding, and as a consequence our floor was filthy. We had no electricity - hence no lighting and had to shower/navigate the room in complete darkness until we asked for a lamp. The electricity was only available in the yoga studio - I asked to dry my hair in there to avoid getting cold in the storm. The owners friend, presumably the yoga teacher, looked as though I’d asked to murder someone! Arguing back telling me repeatedly it was a sacred place. Pretty rich we thought coming from a glorified guest… Lastly, this same ‘non member’ of staff was cleaning the pool the next day at 9:30am, and told us that the pool was closed. We didn’t manage to use it once and so wanted one dip before we departed - the pool was meant to open at 8am. She wouldn’t budge … If this was my hotel, I’d have been contacting guests throughout the storm with updates/apologies.

Dreamy place away from the hustle-bustle but close enough to have a nice dinner in Calvià or to get anywhere else on the island. Wonderful historic building carefully restored. Charming and forthcoming staff. Perfect stay. Thank you!

Wonderfully restored villa at the foot of tramuntana. Our room was one of the most beautiful we’ve ever been in (comes own stone balcony). The team of Boronat is so kind and accommodating. We are already planning our text trip.

Absolutely perfect! Diana and Luca, the managers, made sure everything went perfectly! Everything was just right: the location, the decor, the calm. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. Well worth a 5-star rating
