Hazan was so kind and helpful, nothing was too difficult. Anu our driver was fantastic 👏 👌 very safe and informative on our tour around the island.

The pool is really a bath size and didn't look clean enough to try. Be careful of mosquitoes

The swimming pool is a pool of water, you CANNOT swim in there: the first picture of the property is a large angle picture which gives you the impression of a large swimming pool. it is not. Scroll some more and you’ll get the measurements. Dare make a remark about it and you’ll get the semi agressive emails from the owner. When explained, they propose a deal to reimburse 1 night but when accepted, it doesn’t happen. several relaunches on the subject: nothing. -1 for the “swimming pool” -1 for the owners attitude towards customers Booking should remove the property having a swimming pool in the search criteria, then no issues at all. Having said that and based on previous reviews, we’re now excepting a : « I really don’t understand » from the owner + some bashful remark on us. if not, I’ll be pleasantly surprised and it would mean that someone is learning something.

We loved the accommodation. The rooms were spacious and so clean. However, the pool was so very small and not very clean so couldn't really enjoy it. Other than this the staff and the owner were so lovely, very responsive and friendly.

cleanliness and location

The best aspect was the staff, who were super-helpful. It was at ground-level, which made it much easier with a baby. Central, but quiet location (maybe helped by the fact that a lot of the surrounding area was flooded and there were not many people about).

2 major things: 1. I think it's rather artful to describe the villa as having a private pool, and using photos which accentuated its size; more accurate would be a private bath. 2. We booked the villa specifically because it advertised itself, and shown in photos, that it contained an oven, so that we could cook a traditional roast dinner for Christmas. While it's true there is an oven, it was inoperable, as the oven used more electricity than the villa provided, even with all other appliances switched off. Apparently, we were the first guests to wish to use the oven, and it had never been tested. Thankfully, the staff came to the rescue, and managed to obtain an electrician to come to the villa on Christmas day, and replace a circuit breaker, so that we could do what we planned. Not very impressive from the owner's point of view. A minor problem, but irritating, was the lack of working light bulbs on the verandah, indicating a lack of care by the owner.

The house is well-finished, the furniture is truly wonderful. They were all very kind and then the free transport to and from the airport is a unique service. the complimentary minibar is truly a pampering. We will definitely be back next year!
