AR Ocean View Apartments

The apartment was cheerful and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. The property manager, Maribel, was exceptionally good.

The location was a little more remote than I would have liked without a golf cart. Taxis and busses ran right by the apartment but it was a long way to restaurants and attractions. The kitchen also lacked a coffee maker. We contacted Maribel and she worked hard with the property management company to get us one.

The apartment is well-located - just halfway between downtown and the tip of the island and it has a wonderful ocean view! It is very basic but quite clean and spacious so perfect for two or even more as there are 2 bedrooms. The bed was comfortable and all the rooms had fans/AC. The hosts were really lovely, responsive and helpful.

Having booked this really last minute, it was really expensive given the experience but I was grateful to have a place to stay during peak season (Christmas/NY) Note that the flat is extremely basic with a tiny, low pressure shower/toilet and it is certainly in need of remodelling. For improvements, I would suggest that the hosts leave a bottle of water for guests upon arrival and offer more than two towels and two toilet papers as there is no cleaning in-between for short stays so the flat gets grubby really quickly.

The proximity to ocean.

Maribel and Sebastian were perfect hosts. They provided all the services necessary and more. The apartment came fully stocked with apartment essentials, with a beautiful view of the ocean and comfortable spacious beds. Shower water got hot as one would want and had pressure. Any questions that I had were promptly met with an informative and kindly response within minutes. The decor was homey, and the LED lights we had in our living room were a shocking bonus as well. All the rooms were air conditioned, had great blinds for keeping out the sunrise, and well the apartment was oriented in a way you could see the sun rise. 10/10 would recommend to anybody looking to stay on Isla Mujeres. Fantastic !!

Look, we are in central America, it's hot and there are bugs. There is nothing you can do about it. Had the occasional ant, but any person in their right mind would understand that. Secondly, Google hasn't updated their photos in 6 years at the time of writing this. The building is in a safe, clean area and has completely been renovated.

The apartment was beautiful, with the most stunning view. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice location, very peaceful.

The only thing that didn't work was the kettle.

Beautiful spot off the ocean with sun streaming in. The apartment had everything we needed and the manager was always available via Whatsup if there were any need or questions. The place was very clean. I knew the location was mid island as I have been to Isla many times. Lots of taxis to take us to centro or downtown for 100 pesos.. Awesome patio deck for evening breeze and sunsets!

The price for 10 days was very expensive and they did not provide extra garbage bags, toilet paper or water.
