Quiet place is located near Phuket center, better to get there by bike. The hostess is very hospitable, looks after all the premises. Washing machines are on the first floor. I am happy with the trip.

Super nice Staff, and extremely cheap

A very nice lady runs the place. She gave me good tips for the area and was very kind. A very comfortable little flat in a quiet area that's only about 20 mins from the old town. There's couple of small shops and places to eat in the area as well.

Mimi is super host, very attentive and careful, great person and she speaks English very well. The room and the house was really cozy and with a good vibe :) I found location is perfect even if you are not riding bike or car, it is in quiet and peaceful area but still not too far away from Old Town Centre.

None. Inconvenient location & appalling customer service

Unfortunately the stay at stepmother’s home was appalling. I had a late night flight and arrived after midnight. I messaged the owner few days ago re late check in, she said no issues, I could call her when I arrived. I called as soon as I landed, no answer. The taxi driver took me to the area and we stopped right in from of her home, but didn’t realise it, because no signs. Luckily, a neighbor was available, we called her many times on the phone, still no answer. We then had to knock on the door, and it took a lot of effort to wake her up, she finally opened the door. As soon as I entered the door, instead of making an apology, she asked for a deposit. I couldn’t understand what for, since I already paid for the ‘hotel stay’ in full before arrival. It was more like an airbnb setting. I had my room and a shared toilet outside, and she also lived in the same apartment. She was very inconsiderate, made a lot of loud noises in the early morning. I only slept for 3 hours and decided this was not a place for me or for anyone. I asked if it was ok to leave my suitcase inside whist I go out to get some cash. This was 2.5 hrs before the checkout time. She then tried to convince me that I better leave it outside and no one would steal it. Again, before I went back to pick up the suitcase, I tried to call, no answer.

Staying at Mom’s Home was of the best experiences I’ve had with Booking.com. The property is located in an authentic Thai area yet within walking distance of the Old Town, Phuket Central and the beauty spot of Rang Hill. It’s the sort of location where, the second time they see you, the locals greet you like an old friend. Yet there is a good selection of shops and restaurants nearby. Mimi was the perfect hostess: welcoming, helpful and a source of great advice and information.
