Stanmore Bay Beachfront Cottage

The beach being right at the doorstep and the views. Homely feel and the cupcakes were a nice surprise. Owners really helpful when needed

Location

The unit was exceptionally clean and well organized. The kitchen was well stocked with quality utensils and ingredients for preparing meals. The host, George, was prompt in his responses for any requests made and very courteous. The proximity to the beach made our stay simply awesome.

The shower could be a little bigger but I guess that is the Kiwi thing!

Beautiful wee beach cottage plenty of space. Absolutely everything that you need. Location was great if wanting to be near whangaparoa. The house had kayaks and so much stuff. Quick walk straight down to the beach Although we didn't have little kids.. I can see this would have been perfect if you were traveling with kids and or a baby there was a highchair little kids table..games books and all sorts gate on the balcony was lockable. Loved the two seperate lounges which was great when traveling with others for space. Beds were comfortable and so much extra bedding. Close to so many bays and supermarket Check in was super easy the host Geoff was lovely great to deal with when wanting to extend our stay. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend this place will definitely return.

I don't know if we just couldn't find the switches haha but couldn't get the lights outside by balcony to work. Maybe bulbs need replacing such an awesome spot on warm night but couldn't see much.

Great access to a lovely beach. Facilities nearby. Property well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Nothing of note

The location is steps away from the beach. The deck is a great place to entertain or read a book while enjoying the view. There is everything you need and more provided at the accommodation.

Be aware the bunks are rated for a max 75kgs so if we had other adults, we may have had issues.

The unit is very well set up for a family holiday. It was clean and tidy and had a fully equiped kitchen. Delicious hot cross buns on the kitchen bench were a wonderful surprise, thank you. We used the kayak, surf board, skimmer board and long-board skate board. There's wheels for the kayak and lots of life jackets. Lots of towels. Just a minutes walk to the beach and a view of the water, beach, playground from the kitchen or the covered deck. I loved how the outside wash down area was set up: a tap and bucket for taking sand off our feet before going up to the back deck and also an outside shower. It was so easy to wash ourselves off and to clean off the gear we used. The beach is a wonderful shallow swimming beach. We would love to come back again, thank you so much for a wonderful stay and for providing everything we needed for an easy holiday.
