I received a friendly welcome in pretty good English. I was offered a choice of harder or softer mattress; I chose the harder (which was comfortable), but had I been staying longer I might have asked for a change to the softer option The room was well designed except...

. I would have liked either a bedside light or a switch near the head-end of the bed to turn out the main light.

Loved the location within Luang Prabang. Friendly staff. Villa Wanika was a short (for us) stay in Luang Prabang as we transferred from Nong Khiaw to Vang Vieng. Quick, efficient checking in was welcome after a longish road trip. Situated so close to much of what we like in Luang Prabang, we were able to make the most of our short stay here. We were offered a bed topper upon check in, and after a quick bed hardness check, took them up on their offer. Means that the hotel does read reviews and respond. Appreciated. Our room and bathroom was a little dated and could do with some renovation, but this was reflected in the price we paid so we were more than happy.

Great personnel, ready to help you. The balcony with a view was great too! Also perfect location in a heart of old town.

It felt that it was an overpriced offer compared to what you get - the room is fine but for this price it should be in a slightly better condition. It also felt more as a guesthouse. Please add more love and care to your place :)

Nothing that could’ve been better- NB USD40, a bargain
