Good location, with a view on the mountain

Apart from the rooms, very few common areas: a terrace and the restaurant. On the terrace, some guests had wine and beers, and the empty bottles remained on the tables for three days and hadn’t been cleared. there was a drainage problem in our shower. The day before we stayed in the neighboring hotel Graf Kazbezi, where the staff was on the contrary very pleasant and helpful. And the night three times cheaper.

Цена неоправданно высокая. Я пятый раз останавливаюсь в Степанцминде, то же самое можно получить существенно дешевле. Еще и за собаку 50 лари взяли, что для Грузии редкость. Я выбрала этот отель из-за завтраков, но завтраков, когда я останавливалась, не было - без объяснения причин.

The mountain views are beautiful, and the rooms are modern and clean.

There is no sound barrier- the communal terrace is directly outside the glass door of the room. Conversations from guests carried into my room until 10:45 PM, making it impossible to sleep. When I asked the front desk to intervene, they told me there was nothing they could do until after 11 PM. When I raised the issue further, management dismissed it as “my preference” and even told me in writing: “If absolute silence before 11:00 PM is your main priority, perhaps our property may not be the best match for your preferences.” The Booking.com listing claims “soundproof rooms” and a “peaceful setting,” but my experience was the exact opposite. I checked out early and moved to another hotel in town.

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel! The view of the mountains from both the room and the dining area was amazing. Maya is such a fantastic host. Can’t wait to come back in the winter and relax by the fireplace

The hotel is very elegant. It has a nice common terrace and very beautiful dining hall. Staff were nice and helpful.

The hotel lacks some standard facilities like a double bed (during booking the room my request was a double bed, but when we got the hotel, we saw separate beds. Receptionist said that the hotel doesn't have a double bed at all, what?), a television (you might oppose me, but nobody says no to a smart tv), a soft bed (I sleep almost on every bed but the mattress was not comfortable. I read the same complaint for other hotels too, it may be prevalent in Georgia, but it is the first among 3 different hotel experience in Georgia). The Hotel requires the payment as cash, which is a minus. If you withdraw money from the nearby atm it charges you 16 lari (= 5 pieces of Hinkali). I don't like taking with me all my money and constantly exchanging.
