La Ferme de la Petite Noé

The buildings were very charming and the rural surroundings were lovely. We only had enough time to visit the Bayeux Tapestry Museum, but it's close to lots of sites of interest in the area. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious fresh baked pastries and baguette. The room was simple, but the beds were quite comfortable.

The host introduced himself and at first seemed very nice and friendly, but almost immediately launched into a string of very coarse and racist jokes, right in front of our 11-year-old daughter. We tried to laugh it off and asked to get settled into our room, but as he walked us there he continued saying terrible things about a wide variety of ethnic groups. We'd had a long day of driving, it was late at night and we just needed a place to sleep, or we probably would have left. He never told us the Wi-Fi password - I didn't find the router until the next morning. There was an air conditioner in our room, which was a welcome relief from the heat, but in the middle of the night it started pouring water down the walls. It was so much water I thought it was raining and the roof had sprung a leak. We ate breakfast as quickly as we could with the host having sat himself down at our table to just rattle off more ethnic stereotypes. We were very glad to put this place in our rear-view mirror.
