The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out their way to be helpful.The beds were very comfortable.Breakfast was amazing ,so much variety.Really loved visiting the Onsen upstairs.Very conveniently situated near Yudanaka station where the local bus left from to visit the snow monkey park.A very special place.

The staff are all extremely attentive, food was delicious (I probably put on a kilo just staying here 3 nights) and the onsen was a great temperature in a relaxing and beautiful setting

Some other guests were noisy, especially in the onsen

This is terrific place to stop to experience a traditional ryokan -be sure to book the Kaisei-ryori. Also ideal for a stop at the snow monkeys - wear hiking boots with spikes forth trek up.

The staff was excellent. We hiked to the snow monkeys and our boots ended up very muddy. The staff took our boots and cleaned them for us which was quite unexpected but very much appreciated.
