I was a little angry before I arrived. As soon as I booked I asked, how do I get there. "Where are you coming from?" A reasonable question. Coming from the next island over. "You need to take a boat." And that was the last I heard from him. Most likely you will take the taxi to what they seem to call Mad Monkey Pier. Then you can walk (if you like exercise), hire another boat from the pier, or a tuk tuk which will get you closer. Or you can get your own taxi for up to $20. Once there I immediately felt better. The staff is great and immediately made me feel at home.. The place is chill. "We recommend you open a tab and settle at the end." YES please! After 3 days I owed $21. They take cards. The tent is quite comfy though it got a little sandy. The temp was fine. I even used the blanket at times. You're on the beach. On it. Every night I could not resist going for a swim with the plankton instead of going straight to sleep. Because it's right there. The place is social. Quite a few people from the village hiked over and hung out there. I walked up and down the beach two nights and it was the best place for me to be. I moved into the village and kept going back to White Pearl. I should have left the tab open. The showers are spartan and be prepared to use your own soap. Water temp was perfect. They also seem OK, when fully booked, if you bring your own tent or hammock. There were quite a few people doing that for Nestival. I don't know what they charge for that. It's so cheap anyway.

The only negative on my visit, for me, was the bar 100 meters away had a one time music festival, Nestifal, for two days. DJ Oblivious blasting his tunes to nobody until 9am. This was a plus for the young people. Everyone under 35 on the island, more than 500 I'd guess, had a great time. It looked really fun, but I was too old. Nestival is not normal, though, and Monday the bar was open and busy but no music. Under normal circumstances I think being 100 meters away from Nesty is a plus.

The tent was really big with a large double bed (mattress) and lots of space. The restaurant had great food and drinks and the area was very relaxing and beautiful to stay in.

The showers and toilets weren't always super clean but they did the job.

Tents were clean, bathrooms were nicer than a lot of other spots on the beach. Affordable food! Nice staff

My tent door was broken so it would not close. The music coming from the nest was louder than I wished, so sleeping well was hard.

The light in my tent was off (they tried to fix it but it was electrical damage probably) which was fine to me

You leave the tent and you’re on the beach, the tents are good size, with fan and sockets. It’s the rather quiet part of the beach as well, and the owner was super cool, even took us out at night to see the plankton which was the favourite part of my whole trip to Cambodia.

The showers could be improved a bit finding a soap was challenging sometimes.

A beautiful location right on the beach! Walking distance to Koh Touch too. Had a great little restaurant and really friendly staff.

There were red ants on our tent when we arrived but the owners took care of them quickly so can’t fault it!
