leisure Mount View

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits fin février au leisure Mount View. L'emplacement et la vue sur les plantations sont absolument magnifiques. L'équipe est adorable, à l'écoute et a tout fait pour répondre à nos besoins. Notre chambre était très confortable, de quoi se préparer un café ou un thé, de l'eau chaude sous la douche, un grand et très bon matelas, un grand balcon à la vue imprenable. Je craignais un peu la formule buffet mais nous avons très bien mangé, matin et soir. Ashan, notre hôte nous a expliqué le pourquoi de cette formule ce qui contribue encore plus à soutenir ce lieu. En effet, cette famille a fait de son établissement un lieu de soutien social aux villageois les plus en difficulté. L'équipe n'est composée que de jeunes orphelins, soutien de famille et mères celibataires. Les repas, confectionnés par ces femmes, sont proposés sous forme de buffet pour eviter le gaspillage car tout ce qui n'est pas consommé par les clients et récupéré par l'équipe pour eux et leur famille. Dans la salle des repas, vous serez captivés par les visages des cuilleuses, villageois et institutrices d'Haputale, peints sur les bols de curd en terre cuite. Ce projet artistique date de la triste période du covid, certaines de ces personnes sont aujourd'hui décédées. Ashan, tu te souviens de notre discussion? Tu devrais proposer à la vente des cartes postales reprenant ces beaux dessins, ce serait un souvenir hors du commun à emporter et les fonds contribueraient à ton projet humanitaire. Nous espérons revenir un jour.

Excellent location just outside of town with stunning views. We had a spacious room on the roof terrace, modern and clean. We loved breakfast and dinner time in the restaurant with great food, friendly staff and more of an opportunity to meet other guests than anywhere else we stayed.

We missed air conditioning, a wardrobe to hang clothes, safety deposit box and a hairdryer in the room although appreciate that some amenities could be requested from reception. Beer is available although no other wines/spirits.

Le personnel : Un accueil vraiment chaleureux, l'équipe a été très prévenante. ​La gastronomie : La nourriture était tout simplement délicieuse, nous nous sommes régalés ! ​Le cadre : Une vue juste incroyable qui a rendu notre séjour mémorable

Le seul petit point faible est l'isolation phonique, qui est un peu légère. On entendait pas mal les bruits extérieurs, ce qui est dommage quand on cherche le repos complet.

Es gibt warme Decken , also keine Angst vor der hohen Lage. Super Frühstück, es gibt eigentlich nichts, was es nicht gibt. Abends gutes Essen - meine persönlichen Diätwünsche konnten berücksichtigt werden (Auswahl dann jedoch gering) In Haputale geht mittwochs nur der Sonderzug für Touristen gegen 9.30 Uhr und dieser kostet 3000 oder 3500 RS pro Person, auch wenn man nur eine Station fährt. Also bedenken, wenn man für den Pekoe Trail die Bahn benutzen möchte. Uns hat dann ein Tuktuk zum gleichen Preis bis zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung gefahren, und war dann, obwohl doppelt so weit und bergig schneller am Ziel :-) Wir sind hier 2 Abschnitte des Trails gewandert. GPXGerät von Vorteil.

Harte Matratze, etwas wenig Wasserdruck (Hat nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun: In Haputale gibt es eine "Tuktuk-Maffia" - also vom Zentrum kommt man nur mit teueren Tuktuks weg. Pickme vom Hotel jedoch nicht vom Bahnhof!!! (etwas muss man in dieser bergigen Gegend immer drauflegen, der Sprit ist ja teuer))

The hotel, the view, the food, the town itself, the walks - everything was totally excellent. But most of all the staff were unbelievable. My partner had a serious accident whilst hiking and the manager of the hotel went to immense lengths to help us. We are so grateful and cannot praise them highly enough.

The location was excellent, amazing views from the balcony if you get a clear day. The breakfast was complimentary. You can go hiking around, or rent a scooter and drive to the main toursit objectives

At the time we were there it was quite cold, even in the room. The blanket was thick, so that was ok, they even offered extra blankets. The water heater in the bathroom is quite small, and the pressure is average. In hot weather this wouldn't be a problem.

That was absolutely our best stay in Sri Lanka 🩵 The location and the view - amazing. Room absolutely fantastic - spacious, clean with great terrace. The food was so good!!!! The best we had in Sri Lanka for sure 🩵 the staff super nice, helpful and welcoming. I was really sorry to leave and wished to stay longer

Very Kind hosts. The views are beautiful. Very good food, we especially can recommend the cooking class which was a great experience.

Amazing breataking view. Very friendly and funny manager and staff who does their best for you. They arranged some bouquet amd flowers for our anniversary.
