Upstairs air con would have been nice. But the 2 provided fans got things cooled of reasonably well. Big bed too soft. Kitchen a bit fiddly. Would have preferred having microwave on counter.

Property was nice and the facilities were good. Really nice to be able to use the washing machine after a few days of travel. The location is not super great as it’s about a good 5-10 min drive into the centre of Wānaka. When I initially booked this - the reviews and description implied the location was much more central. I would definitely recommend having a car if you are staying here to get around, otherwise try to book in Wanaka.

The decoration and facilities in this property

A few minutes drive to Wanaka, 100% quiet, very clean, parking near the door, helpful and pleasant representative (Renee) of the management company on the phone (as there is no reception on site), a supermarket and bakery 1 minute walk, very well equipped with good appliances etc (dishwasher, in sink food disposal, electric sheets, towel dryer, heaters etc), comfi beds, a good shower, very good gas fire place - easy to operate, good WiFi. Overall it functions well and is suitable for one or two nights in a plain environment.

Booking.com advertised that this apartment has 2 bathrooms. That is *not* true. There is only one bathroom with shower and toilet. In addition there is a guest toilet with a small sink which one does not count as a bathroom. Regretfully this is not the first time that Booking.com's info has mislead me. The bedrooms are a bit small. There is no proper space for a suitcase, no shelves in the bathroom and cupboards. There is no shelve in the shower for the amenities, you need to keep the soap etc on the floor. The key safe outside is not very user friendly. Not very easy to open. I could not open it to return the key when I left. You need to bend to the floor to read the WiFi password from the bottom of the router which is positioned almost at floor level and is written in very small print. I could hardly read it and wasted time getting it right. It would be guest friendly to have it available, eg on the table, printed with a proper size font.
