Tsapelas Villas

Our host Matina went out of her way to look after all our needs. Breakfast was provided on a daily basis with fresh local bread and fruit, and anything else we asked for. The villa was excellent in every way. Clean and very comfortable.

Absolutely no complaints

Fantastic accommodations. Tastefully decorated. Tidy, clean with new appliances. Kitchen was fully equipped , we wanted for nothing. AC worked very well. Beautiful pool and spectacular views of the Sea. Martina was fantastic. She was so very gracious and accommodating. She provided and delivered every morning the most delicious hot breakfast which included traditional dishes made from local products. Truly Amazing! Definitely one of the highlights of our experiences. Of note is the remoteness in that the villas are high along the ridge line overlooking the small inlet of Agios Kirykos, which allowed for very quiet days and evenings to rest, relax, and recharge…simply stunning sunrises and the awakening of the island set against the cerulean blues of both the Aegean and the skies above.

The property is a distance for town. Off the beaten path. That said , we did not mind the drive and planned our days accordingly.

All was perfect!

The daily fresh breakfast was incredible! Delivered on the table and also cleaned up daily! Couldn’t ask for anything better. Menu changed daily! The pool was awesome. A true gem on Ikaria.

Everything at the Villa is so well thought out. From the views, the multiple places to relax around the property, to the geothermal air conditioning, the pool and all of the amenities inside the villas. Matina made/brought us fresh breakfast every morning. The eggs came from her chickens, the olives came from her groves and the pita was made fresh (by yiayia?) and she brought a lot of local marmalades, cheeses and tahini with fresh bread from a local baker. The kids are still talking about how the chocolate croissants were their favorite food in Greece. We rented 2 villas since we had a group of 12 of us. The 6 children loved swimming in the pool (it’s deep so must be strong swimmers) and hang out on the various terraces to make bracelets and do other stuff that tweens like to do. The inside of the villas are amazing. Matina thought of everything when designing the facility. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and seating areas are spacious. Staying with Matina and Mantho was like staying with your favorite family member (your mom, Thea, cousin or even best friend). I found myself wanting to invite her to the beach with us! haha I will give you one piece of advice … if you have another location/island to stop in after Ikaria, dont do it. Make this your last stop bc you will be greatly disappointed by any other place you have to stay :)

Nothing at the property but driving up the mountain roads are a little nerving. Dont follow the directions suggested by your phone. Ask Matina how to come up.

It is preferable to rent a car to ensure easy access to the beach

The breakfast was fantastic- The owner of the property- a very charming and professional lady- made sure we had everything needed for a perfect stay- We really enjoyed the beautiful views from our terrace and the yummy local food she prepared every morning- We highly recommend this pristine new villa and planning to return-

This’ not a place you can walk to since it’s perched on top of the hill- you must have your own transportation but once you get there you will be very happy!
