Vasatorps Matologi

Beatiful traditional farmhouse. Very comfortable. Superb breakfast. Delightful hostess.

Our stay at Vasatorps Matologi was absolutely incredible. We arrived at 8PM in the pouring rain and Eva met us outside with an umbrella. She showed us to our room and brought us tea and cookies to warm up. The room was impeccably designed and curated - it had everything we needed but no annoying extras that got in the way. We could tell a lot of thought was put into every detail. The room had recently been completely renovated and the bathroom, custom curtains (that actually blocked out light!), bed, and linens were the best we had during our two week stay in Sweden. And so was the breakfast! The breakfast was divine - Eva even procured foods that I could eat (I am gluten and dairy free and don't eat eggs). In addition to smoothies, bread, cheese, meats, and pastries, she also had food she makes from scratch like marmalade, pickles, and rhubarb compote. It was unreal. The place is located a short drive from Helsingborg and is in an area with a lot of farm stands, easy hikes, and small towns to explore. It was also the only place we stayed where we had easy access to an electric car charger. I can't wait to go back someday!

The only downside was that we stayed here early on in our trip and it was impossible to compare the rest of our hotels with Vasatorps Matalogi!

Breakfast was superb, delicious, exquisite, amazing choices, and the coffee also was all you can ask for.It all was served on a beautifully made table in a lovely decorated room. The hostess is a treasure. We totally recommend this

The host lady super friendly, we got a very warm welcome with a cup of tea and cookies. The environment is super. The breakfast was super good, so is the location. The room, shower and bed are good. We really enjoy our stay. The dog is also cute. Definitely will stay again when we visit the neighborhood.

For tall person may have problem with the height of the door.

The room was very clean and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast was excellent. Eva and Mikael were very helpful.

The room was a bit cold, but that was probably due to cold wind.

Travelling witn an autistic teen and her service dog in training, things can get very tricky. I was in contact with the BnB beforehand, ensuring that it was ok to bring the dog, and asked if I could bring some brekkie to the room if the teen got overwhelmed. No problems. The place was just as calm and beautiful as we were hoping for, and the hosts very friendly and accommodating. They have managed to renovate it in a loving way without loosing any of its original charm. The breakfast was outstanding! A surprising variety, with many home treats made from local products served in the old farmhouse at a candle lit table. An extra star to the little farm terrier, who worked hard as welcome committee, wake up call (at the agreed hour for breakfast) and general entertainer. It was all we could have hoped for.
